A slightly different week this week…On Wednesday we have a visit from the Scotland’s Wildlife Bus where we will be taking part in a workshop with staff from the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland. The theme is ‘ Seas, forest, mountains and moors’ This session looks at the main habitats in Scotland; woodland, lochs, rivers and wetlands, mountains, heaths and bogs, coasts and seas, farmland and croftland, and urban. We will learn the identifying characteristics of each habitat and discover how animals and plants are adapted to each one. Thurs/Friday we have our P6/7 joint schools residential trip to Ridgeways Adventure. Where we will be taking part in kayaking, raft building, shelter making, food foraging, abseiling …and lots more ! I’m sure we’ll have lots of great photos and stories to share when we get back.
