Well done for a big effort on timestables last week! It is making a big difference in class. This week Ms Lee is away Mon-Tues so Mrs Bewley will be teaching on these days. On Wednesday we will be taking part in a series of workshops about Fair-trade. This is part of the United Nations ‘Ending Hunger’ Challenge badge. We have been busy learning about the pros- and cons of the flower trade in Kenyan. In maths this week we are working with decimals to hundredths, multiplying them by 10,100,1000…including money. We are also solving time problems with the 24 hour clock. In science we are carrying out sound investigations. Homework for Friday 4th March
If you have any questions about homework or about what your child is learning this term, please contact us at the school. Welcome to our first 'Class News' blog ! As you know Ms Lee is now teaching three days and Mrs Morrison two days each week. We are starting our new topic this week- Connecting Classrooms: Kenya. If you click on the flags you can see the topic planner which shows the main focus of learning for each subject. This week we will be reading non-fiction books about elephants, lions and deadly creatures. In maths we will be revising and extending what we know about decimals and beginning some work on solving time problems. Ms Lee will be teaching Monday, Wednesday and Friday this week and Mrs Morrison Tuesday/Thursday. P7 have their second Goblin Car build day on Tuesday. This means they will follow high school start and finish times. We have the last traditional Scottish music lessons on Monday. German will continue on Fridays until Easter. We have a new homework activity grid. This might be a bit confusing at first because are only starting our new topic this week. Click here to see the homework grid. Homework for Friday 26th February
