We sowed the rocket seeds from the International Space Station last week…may the force be with them! This week begins with the second swimming session for P1-6…meanwhile P7 are working on handling and presenting data in maths and Goblin Car project. The P7 team have been working hard on the mechanics and design of the car. Their team name is : Venus Warriors. On Tuesday afternoon we have the first of four ‘Healthy Hearts’ fitness sessions with ICT football club youth workers. We are learning about the features of realistic stories and the language used in adverts in our writing lessons. This week we will be beginning to learn about the Stone Age in preparation for the Orkney trip. Homework for Friday 29th April
On Monday the whole school begins a series of eight swimming lessons in Ullapool, except for P7 who will be working on a range of task with Ms Lee. Tuesday is the third Goblin Car build day for P7. Mrs Smart will be teaching the rest of the class. This week we are starting the Rocket Science experiment…this involves planting and recording the growth of 100 seeds that have actually been on the International Space Station with British astronaut Tim Peake! Click on the image to find out more. On Thursday Mrs Morrison has begun some sea-themed fabric work with the class. A letter and itinerary for the P6/7 Orkney trip will be given out on Monday and there will be a meeting for parents after school on Thursday. The Queen celebrates her 90th birthday on Thursday…P6 will be putting together a special assembly to mark the occasion :) . Homework for Friday 22nd April

This week we will be settling back into our classroom routines. We will be finding out about life,work and astronauts on the International Space Station. This is the starts of a national science project that we are beginning next week....Rocket Science! PE: is on Tuesdays and Wednesdays so please remember your PE kit on these days.
