There is a real buzz about reading in our class at the moment, which is very encouraging to see! During the week we have a variety of reading activities : group reading, home reading, silent reading, speedy reader computer texts and reading comprehension. We are also listening to Scottish Mythical Creatures stories and The Wolf Wilder by Katherine Rundell. We have the last of the Youth Music Initiative (YMI) lessons this Thursday. Everyone has really enjoyed these lesson with Kim Richards from Ullapool. She has been teaching clapping rhythms, tin whistle tunes and lots of traditional Scottish songs. Last Thursday in P.E. we had a cross-country run to the head of the loch; weather permitting we will try this again this week. On Friday we have a visit from an environmental education officer. Enjoy the mid-term break everyone…no class news or homework next week. This week : Things to remember… Monday –P.E. Homework out.
